Oops, did I detect a contradiction, Jeff? If those (like me, a man without an established church, who nonetheless professes to be Christian) who dare question the doctrine of grace CANNOT be Christians, how can you consider those Catholics to be Christians again?
For me, I believe in making every attempt at a certain amount of Christ-like good works in this life, and if I need to define the word "Christian," I choose to rely on the trusty (but certainly very fallible!) Merriam-Webster's 11th Collegiate, definition (#1a).
