If this works (which I'm sure it will), you should add this as a public service to Riocar.org or empeg.org. It would be fantastic to be notified somehow of new updated -even the non empeg written stuff like new hacks would be nice.

Then if you could make the standby LED go solid to indicate an update is available that would be something!!
