Are your sunglasses merely polarized, or also of the "Blue Blocker" type (sometimes called "Drivers" glasses)?
These often have a mild brown tint to them, and they do reduce the amount of blue light getting to your eyes...
My good lady recently commented that her new RioCar (with blue display, shortly to be changed to green) is hard to read through her H2Optix sunglasses.
