Loren's Empeg Install

There it is in all it's glory. PLENTY of pictures (almost 60) of the whole install from start to finish, with commentary. Enjoy =]

LA uses pretty much everything...it depends on the project and who the leads are. My SGI is an Impact 10,000...but we are supposed to be getting some Octanes soon *crosses fingers*... heheh.

Ah, OK, I didn't mean your site. I was thinking of Rene's site, which I took a look at this morning.

Sorry! (Well, actually, no I'm not sorry that you didn't find any production glitches!)

I'll take care of those tomorrow with mention that they have been fixed... never realized that I pointed it out so much. Sorry, really had no intention of giving bad press there.

Tomorrow at work... it shall be made more positive sounding

The only glitch i found was that the pull out handle had a nick on the top of it. It's pretty noticable 'cause it's silver and stands out on the black... but i'm not complaining. Just something i noticed =].

Sorry, really had no intention of giving bad press there.

I never have a problem with any kind of reporting of it's accurate and truthful. Everything you pointed out was true - they were all small, easily fixed glitches, it just seems like you got a Friday afternoon player!

(Dunno if you have that effect in the US.. a Friday afternoon product is one thats put together when the workers really want to go home. Rover, for example, are experts at this and manage to produce Friday afternoon cars throughout the entire week).

Anyway, those problems have all been fed back to the manufacturer, and shouldn't occur again. For example, the disk cables are now glued (not permanant, but good enough to ensure they'll never come loose), the handle springs are now inspected by a supervisor, and so forth.

Yes Americans should be very familiar with this concept. In fact - I thought the American automobile manufactures invented it (but it looks like we stole that too).

I remember in the 70s as a kid, we found a soda bottle in the door of my dad's '66 Ford Mustang convertible.

And Monday morning problems as well... I had a friend who's father bought a Ford Taurus some years back('85ish???). Well after all kinds of problems and then finally figuring out one day that the engine mounts were not bolted to the engine he returned it to the Ford dealership and they did a little research and discovered that it was built on a Monday morning. :)
