Where does one go to get a cape? I wanna go to Comicon sporting a cape and a Lucha-Libre mask. I got the Lucha-Libre mask down, now alls i gotta get is the cape. I wonder if it would be easier to just make one?

I don't want anything like this

I'd say a costume shop is likely to have them. What sort of cape do you want? Just a big nylon thing, or something a little more classy, like a satin lined Dracula-style thing? You can buy dressmakers' patterns for them. (Also here.)

Holy crap, those first capes are not only horrid, but insanely expensive.

You have no idea how much disposable income the SCA set have and how otherwise pennypinching they are, do you?

Yeah see, I don't want a big nylon curtain hanging off of me. I want something dark and creepy that has some sort of cowl attachment or something. I'm thinking this is gonna be out of my price range, but we'll see.

I'm gonna look into having it made a bit. Perhaps my gf's mom can do it with that pattern.

The most bad ass costume i saw there was this.

Heh, I opened both of those images at the same time, but didn't pay attention to which was which. And honestly, after looking at them, still couldn't decide.

And I take it that convention doesn't have a "no costume is no costume" rule like the sci-fi cons I go to. The skanky gal would have been run out on a rail at any of the cons I go to.

I went to A Kon this year. (Dallas) with some friends. This girl had the coolest Transformer costume I had ever seen.
