And I bet the three Marlins fans who actually attended a regular season game this season were even more excited!

Harsh.. but, that's pretty much true. Then again, they proved themselves by beating a team that pay's their players incredibly well... the Marlins players get paid basically nothing, which shows that the're playing for the game and not so much as for the money. So now maybe they will gain some more true fans.

I however have been a fan since as far back as I can remember. So off to more partying...

You can only remember to 1993?

I would argue the "true fans" would have been with the team *before* they won the Series, and any fans who hop on board now aren't "true fans." I'm not putting you in this category, nor do I want to diminish the team, which was clearly the best team in the postseason, and made every big play... They've got a great nucleus for the future and all that... It's just going to make me sick seeing thousands of Johnny-come-lately Marlins fans wearing their World Series caps, shirts, etc. Of course, my team (the Phillies) has been around for 108 years or so, and has only one championship. So maybe I'm just jealous.

Well, if the owner guts the team again, like in '97, you'll be one of the few fans still...
I'm happy that Pudge got a WS ring. I really hate it when players go to another club because they want a ring so bad and feel they need to go to a team that can pay such large salaries to get all the talent to make it easier for them. Roger Clemens for one, the heathen, used to like him, now I hate him. Instead Pudge went and worked with a young and determined team with heart and drive and earned a ring. My hats off the the Marlins for beating that damn dynasty. Yes, I despise the Yankmes, BoSox all the way.. someday... I hope... Please????
As for Roger, he better go in the Hall in a Red Sox uniform or I'll spit on his plaque...

Well, everyone was so excited about the possibility of a Cubs/BoSox series that the realization of a Who?-Marlins/YankMes series was a huge anticlimax. Of course, it's nice to see the Yankees get beaten (and the NL win). Too bad they'll probably sell all their players before next season rolls around.

Well they just won the World Series.
It is the power of Empeg. We bestowed upon Marlin the Empeg-nature, and it prospered. We are already accepting bribes from fans of other franchises, to use their names as internal codenames for Empeg projects.

Peter (Search your feelings, Marlin. You know it to be true.)

Well in 93' I was 10 years old... So of course I remember, but for some reason it seem's like they have been around longer.

Anyways.. It was fun to watch no matter who won.

Well, I have it on good authority that baseball's next two franchises, in order to avoid these costly bribes, are going to turn the tables and call themselves the Jacksonville Jupiters and the Portland Pearls.

So nyeh!

Marlin was the project name for Rio Music Manager. Otherwise, it's a fish.
