Is there a reason why the tuner input is sampled at 38kHz rather than 44.1? I realise that bandwitdh-wise higher isn't needed, but if analogue tuner signal could be sampled at 44.1 with either a simple hardware mod and/or software, thus allowing for dig output of all sources, that would be great!

Not being able to use tuner or Aux via a digital out is one of the reasons that holds me back to upgrade to a digital output.

I checked the output of the dig. board with the tuner. We get nothing with either FM or AM. We no longer have a functional CS8420 board (blew it in a bit of frustration on another project). So I couldn't verify whether that would work better. So looks like we're stuck with only aux and player audio through the dig outs, at least til we get another CS8420 IC.
