I've been trying to upload a few very short mp3's (about 2-4 seconds) and they wont go!

I am using 1.01, could that be the reason?

I remember some discussion a while back about MP3s that would upload but not show up in the database. It had something to do with the ID3v2 tags. Sorry I can't point you to that discussion now but this might be a similar problem. IE the songs really are uploading but they aren't recognized when the Database is rebuilt.

This was fixed in v1.02. It may not be the problem, however. Try it with the newer software, and if it still doesn't work, send one of the offending files to [email protected], and we'll take a look.

I doubt it's the size of the file that's causing the bug. I had no problems uploading the Fingertips tracks from TMBG's Apollo 18 album. They're 21 tracks between 4 and 50 seconds long, although most hover around 8 seconds. What tracks do you have that are 2-4 seconds? sound effects?

Can you upload them to the player, and then they refuse to play, (player)

You can't upload them at all? (emplode)

So did you ever try it with emplode 1.02? Roger said it was supposed to be fixed in 1.02.

Are these files normal MP3's or is there a wav header added? I suppose emplode won't let you upload .wav files.

No, what I meant is: If they upload, but don't appear in the player, then v1.02 of the player will fix it.

If they're not uploading at all, then it's a different problem.
