Quote: I'd have to agree. What'd they expect? Drive around Liverpool with "you'll never wank alone" painted on your car and you're likely to face the same. You go looking for a fight, there's generally someone that will accommodate you.
It was 99% staged, there are quite a few clues, the most obvious being the dubbed shouting voice and stones at the end, and note there was no evidence shown of stone damage. Also the truck horn was dubbed too, it sounded far too clean (and the wrong noise too).
Also when Jeremy drives off in the Camaro you can see the film crew off to the right using a large heavy tripod, and not in any hurry to pack up. Finally (!) they probably had a police escort most of the time, I think some states insist on it.

Bob Nelson's football standup act from the 1980's. I remember this was my first intro to club-style standup comedy. Before then I only got what came over broadcast TV. Hi-effin-larious!

I saw Bob Nelson at Banana's in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ last year. He still does the football thing, Eppy Epperman, and the chinese guy with the glasses. Same stuff I first saw in the 1990s (which may have originally been developed in the 80s).

After a chat with my house mate about how great computers were, and how come we don't see classic games shows on TV anymore (anyone remember Bad Influence or Games Master? ) It got me thinking about how I spent my youth, mainly sat in darkend rooms trying to figure out how we could do this. One of the best examples of an Amiga Demo there ever was. Oh the memories Cheers Cris.

Cool that the demo uses a clip from PF's "The Wall" - weird that the video is ~27 minutes long - they only allow you to upload 10 mins now...

I think that's probably faked. The Mythbusters tried that, and it was pretty conclusive that it wasn't possible, certainly not at that distance.
Or maybe I'm missing the joke...

Wow. I'm not sure if I'd classify a Veyron as a 'production car', but whatever. The boys at Top Gear have pulled off another fine piece of filmmaking there- with nods to 2001 and The Right Stuff. I didn't imagine that they'd have James May drive it- I've always seen him reporting on much more sedate cars. Kudos to him.

Well, the Bristol Fighter T has a claimed top speed of 270 mph, but has a limiter at 225.

About as busy as the Bristol design department. Still better than their marketing department
Anyway, if you ever find yourself in Kensigton, do pop in at their showroom. More likely than not you will find Tony Crook there - he is always entertaining. Ex-Battle Of Britain RAF pilot, then Formula 1 driver, and eventually owner of Bristol Cars.
