I have two original tuners and neither will respond to tune a station.

The red led is on and I've tried both on two different units/sleds. Tuner #1 was used for a while but has been stored for years .When tuner #2 failed I swapped in #1 with the same result.I just installed a new hard drive in my spare empeg and neither tuner will tune. Either tuner is recognized but just sits on 520 khz or 87.9 mhz.

Any ideas?

What are you doing to "tune" -- perhaps you've simply forgotten how to use the empeg tuners (not 100% intuitive)?

By tune I mean change stations by using the right or left buttons.

A short right press will scroll through presets (A1,A2,etc) but a long press will not cause the tuner to move off of 87.9.

If you have Hijack installed, then a short press of the Knob should activate the Hijack PopUp functions, one of which is KnobSeek. This (temporarily) turns the Knob into a manual tuning dial, for simple, intuitive use of the radio. smile

Cheers

That was it, using version 2.0 final. I must have been using 2.0 beta 13 for the last ten years and forgotten. That was a dozen computers and a wife or two ago.

Thanks!
