First, congratulations, guys@empeg! 2.0 was really worth the waiting. I discovered in the first ten minutes of playing with emplode dozen of duplicate tunes, for example.

Now, a related question: how do I find which lists reference a particular tune (except the hard way, via FIDs and CVS listing)? I would like to be able to quickly locate where the mentioned duplicate tunes are referenced, chose one to keep and delete others replacing them with reference to the kept one. Is there a quick and easy mechanism to do that hidden somewhere within emplode?

I only had a couple of duplicate tunes and I pretty much knew where they were. In order to see which ones were in which playlists, I activated the FID column so I knew which ones were which.

But as far as large-quantity searching, I don't know. Anyone?

Well, if you search on the FID, then you should get a search listing as the result. You should then be able to add columns to the display to work out where they are referenced. Hmmm. Needs examining - I usually go by Artist and category.

You can't do a search for the playlist that contains an item, because there could be more than one, and it gets complicated.

FIDs is about the only way to go.

Why, that's exactly what I need: a new 'contains' tag that searches for playlists containing particular FID. The result is a list of playlists in RHS window. From UI viewpoint easy and obvious; I don't know about internals, though...

Any point in repeating this in wishlist section?
