Transient at the 'end' of a song too.

Hi all,
It'd be really nice, in the sprit of 'top of the pops' (or MTV, if you prefer) to have the transient info line appear at the end of the song as well as the beginning.
Perhaps 5-10 seconds from the end?
Just seems a nice touch.
Cheers,
Paul.

Agreed.
How about start; five minute intervals; and 10 seconds from the end?

Particularly if you doubled the scrolling speed, but kept the scrolling duration the same, so you would have two chances to read the information before it disappeared.

Related to this, I would like to have a remote button trigger the transient info display without side effects. Currently 'Select Mode' button triggers the display, but also reseeds the visual. I would like the two functions separated (one possibility is to use press and press-and-hold on that button).

Did you try press-and-hold visual button?
Update: (still learning to check before talk) unfortunately it only shows which info mode it is in and doesn't show the actual info

I think hold-visual is used/reserved for access to all visuals when the user has favourite visuals defined.

Hold the bottom button on the front panel. That'll make transient pop up. You have to do it twice, though.
My preference would be to have the bottom button on the front panel toggle between "Transient" and "Track" instead of its current toggle between "Transient" and "Off". Then I could look up track details in the middle of a song very easily while leaving it on transient. ___________

Easiest way I've found is to just double-click the top button on the front panel or the stun/kill button (aka "hush" or "pause") on the remote. You get a tiny glitch in the playback, but it's not more than about 1/10 second or so.

I second that. I've been doing this a ton lately. It would be nice to just switch to track info with one button hold from transient.

Greetings!
Actually, the stun / kill button is the Visual button on the new remote... I am tempted to hold down the Visual button, but I am worried about doing so in highly populated areas.

Press-and-hold info button: this brings up the Track Details popup with all information from Track screen and more. Another hold brings you back. I think it is decent substitute for Tony's and your wish.
