I used to use a program from DataViz for this called MacOpener. It's also included as part of their Conversions Plus package. I haven't used the latest version, but it was simple and never failed me. Zip disks, CDs and hard drives.

Also, I heard just this week that someone has released software to use the iPod under Windows. I don't know what its compatibiity is when compared to iTunes, but I'll try to find out what the program is called and where to find it. I just have to remember who at work told me about it. :)
