I have noticed a directory (root) that shows up in emplode but does not show up on the empeg. I am able to rename it but emplode won't allow me to delete it. If I upload files to that invisible directory they do not show up on the empeg (but emplode see them on later syncs). Is this a feature, bug, or glitch?

It's proper name is "Unattached Items", it is used as a bucket when tracks are found during synchronisation that still exist but aren't attached to any playlists. It's rather like the traditional UNIX lost+found directory.
