Am I wrong, or are they really charging 400$ to get the AM/FM tuner with the empeg?

I thought of putting my tuner up for sale to pay off some bills but I just couldn't do it. I will use it if I ever get one of my players installed in a vehicle plus I just couldn't ask that much for it without feeling guilty. But that is me.

Not to justify it, but he's said in an older thread that he purchased the tuners for over $300 so he could sell them as a kit. Again, not to justify it.

In Austin, the access to radio just ain't worth $300+, heck it's barely worth the $99 I paid. I mean you can just bring up any Stevie Ray Vaughan playlist on the empeg and you've got KLBJs entire play list at you fingertips... Not that there's anything wrong with SRV, it would just be nice to hear something else every now and then...

I understand, seems like here all you get is country or 80's rock. I just took a road trip, and instead of missing the radio to keep me company I had several hours of George Carlin skits on the way down, and Stephen King's "The Stand" to hear on the way back. I've also noticed that if you have a second DIN slot open you could just add a dang CD player in there instead - gain a tuner and CD ability both (for the trips home from the record shop) for half the tuner cost.

Wish I lived in a town that played a lot of SRV, I might listen to the radio more often.

Here, the only true "rock" station is one of those K-Zeppelin stations...

Not that there's anything wrong with Led Zeppelin...
