I did not see this on the FAQ area, so I am asking here.

I press and hold the power off/aux button on the remote & nothing happens. Confused.

It should work. Does the remote do all of the other things OK? (Is the remote working at all?)

Yes, that I know of. I don't know everything about the remote usage though. I can turn the unit off from the front display just fine.

Is your player software recent enough? I don't think this feature was in 1.03; you might need to be running 2.0 (a beta version).

1.03 is what I use. I've read many of the bugs going on in 2.0. I'm reluctant 2 upgrade.

Is this feature only available in 2.0?

If you don't want to install 2.0 before its final, stable, release, you'll have to make do with using the menu to power down, I think. It's not that many presses on the remote - Menu, 5, Menu does it for me.

Correct, the 1.03 software does not power off from holding that remote button. That feature is only available in 2.0. Sorry, didn't realize you were running 1.03.

As you can see, I expect we will see at least one more beta version before 2.0 goes final.
Given the gap between beta 3 and beta 7 was about 2 month (Oct 17th to Dec 27th or so) and the gap between beta 7 and beta 11 was about 2 month (Dec to Feb), I would expect the next beta every day now. But as you all were saying that you concentrated on a different project, I am not sure about that. However, I have read "FITNR" that often that I really wished a new beta was on the way.
