I lived in Texas for 4 years and they let me take the class with a New Mexico license. Unless they changed their policy recently, you should be able to take a course. But then again, it usually ends up costing more than if you would just pay the ticket, and if it isn't goin on your record anyway, then why bother, I suppose.
