A good time was had by all.

The weather was interesting. Snowed like crazy all morning up until noon, and then someone threw a switch and the sun came out for a glorious clear afternoon on the slopes. Fortunately, the morning storm scared the bulk of the crowds away and it's wasn't intolerably busy.

I'm typing this now because I know I'll be incapable of moving a muscle tomorrow. The first snowboarding day of the season is always the hardest on you.

I got their earlier than Hugo (and his friend Kevin, former Rio marketing guy), so ended up leaving at about five or so while they were still doing runs. The park doesn't close until 9pm, so for all I know they could be still up there.

Hope they did, because I noticed as I was leaving that there was a full moon rising. Would have looked magnificent from the top of the mountain.
