True, but isn't most of the extra length added at the back of the door? That allows easier access to the area behind the front seats, but I doubt it makes it any easier to get into or out of the front. The relation of your feet/knees to the A-pillar is still the same.
As someone else pointed out, though, the longer door isn't able to open to as wide an angle in tight parking situations. Wouldn't that actually would make it *more* difficult for large persons?
This is just my imagination working, here. I'm not speaking from experience. I'm not a large person and neither is my car large.
