I'm enjoying Civ4. Its hit or miss though, people either love it or hate it. I think they made a lot of improvements over the previous versions, but if you haven't played them you can't really compare. It is a lot slower paced than the other games you are looking at (since it is a turn-based strategy game). If you are playing Q4, I'm guessing your machine would handle it - a lot of people have had problems in the graphics department. If you decide to go for it, I'd wait for at least one more patch (they released one that fixes an issue with some ATI cards - I had no problems running the game at all).
