combining the two FIDS directories should work. Anyone ever actually do that?
Yes, I upgraded the player I use here at Empeg Towers from wonky old 6G and 14G drives that Hugo found lying around, to a single nice new 20G Fujitsu and just copied the contents of each "fids" directory into the new one.
