Yeah, I like XFS here, too. That's what the MythTV box is using for the underlying filesystems that mhddfs then pools together.

Something I don't do (yet), is use an SSD to hold the logs for the XFS filesystems. In theory that should give a tremendous performance boost, but I just don't know if I trust that much chewing gum and string.
