Does anyone know how to program a Phillips Pronto remote control to send the long key press for the Empeg. I programmed my Pronto this weekend but have not figured out how to send long key strokes.
Thanks

I was under the impression that you could do this anyway. What exactly are you trying to do? For example, on a VCR that requires me to hold down the fast forward button in order to fast forward, just holding down that button will work. I must say that I've never tried the Pronto CCF file that was given to me by some nice person on this board. I'll see if I can do anything with mine sometime.
Just out of curiousity, do you have the 1, 2, or 6000?

Yes I have, Mine is the only CCF file there for the Rio. At least it's the only one I saw.

I am trying to copy the Source button from the Rio remote to my Pronto. As this button works as a source switch with a short press and as the power switch with the long press, I wish to be able to send the long press so I can turn the Rio off(standby). I haven't been able to get this to work yet. When I "teach" the Pronto the source button it doesn't matter if I hold the button on the Rio long or short. It is learned as a short press and will only switch sources on the Rio. I'm sure that there is some hex code I could edit into the button code if I only knew what it was. The button codes as they come up in hijack don't look anything like the learned codes in the Pronto. I don't think this is unusual but it does make it more difficult to determine what is the correct code to enter to produce the results I'm looking for.

Ah, well sorry, I'm not sure. So what model remote are you using? I don't see your CCF file up there under empeg, Rio, or Sonic Blue...
*edit* actually, there aren't any components for any of those companies. they even have ReplayTV under its own category instead of under "Sonic Blue" *edit*

Actually I submitted it on Saturday. If they have added it, it will be under complete systems.

Make sure you keep this up to date, and keep your eyes open in October...

So you basically want a Power Off button that doesn't require a long press. Here's what I did:
Find a remote in your house that you don't use or doesn't interfere with your setup and is recognized by the empeg (use hijack "button codes display" to test this). Write one of the IR codes down and learn this button into your pronto.
Add the following ir translation(s) to hijack (see the hijack faq for instructions):
[ir_translate]
XXXXXXXX=000000.L
Where XXXXXXXX is the code you wrote down.
I also added buttons for power down after track and power down after playlist. If you want to add these also you can use these translations:
XXXXXXXX=000006,b94605,000006.L,000002,000006
XXXXXXXX=000006,b94605,000006.L,b94603,000006

Wait a minute, I just read in the remotecentral review of the Harmony that Easy Zapper has plans for the Pronto. I don't want that. I hope it's not what you're talking about. I love the open-ended, complete-control feel of the Pronto, and I don't need any additional software making my remote supposedly easier for me to use.
Do you work for Philips or something?
