This post is probably more appropriate for the wish list forum, however...

What would be involved in making emptris "hijack menu friendly"?

cheers!

Um, I guess he released the source GPL, so when I get some time I'll attempt it, unless someone else wants to do it of course -- I don't have much time.

Sorry, was up near Mammoth hiking Mt. Whitney... anyways... I haven't had a chance to take a look, but hopefully I'll have some time to get to it soon...

I've quickly hacked it to bind to the Hijack menu. It's here. The source code is a little untidy at the moment but I'll clean it up later.

ok, I ran this, it did in fact add it to the hijack menu. Don't ask me why, but the 1st thing I did to test it was run empacman from the hijack menu, it ran emptris instead and upon going back to the hijack menu, empacman is gone. Luckily I hadn't added emptris to the preinit and a reboot brough it back.

and not a bug, but a little FYI, if your still in RW mode while running emptris, winning/losing just causes it to hang until to go back to RO mode.

Hmm.... I'm not sure but it might be a bug in Hijack.

empacman and empan starts to freak if you start switching between both applications.
empacman and emptris goes funny...
emptris and empan also goes funny as well...

Can anybody else have a look to see if running two or more user applications in Hijack works?

I'll have a look about the RW problem in a sec.

Thanks. I'll update the package.
It may be easier to just use the daemon() call though as this will do all of the other steps necessary to become a daemon.

I have same problems with applications freaking out.... they like run at the same time or something and hijack removes the menu entries.
