My empeg mkIIa has been in a box for the last 3 months and I'm now ready to install. Just noticed tonight some characters (on the "now and next" info selection and the clock), - some pixels are gray, and not as bright as others. More evident in the letter 'e' and 'r' and on the clock

I never really noticed before - is it how it should be?

The lower case e and r look fine on my display. They are anti-aliased. They are supposed to look like this:

The anti-aliasing improves readability for the small size. For example, without the AA, it would look like this:

Thanks - thats what I have too. Trouble is I had nothing to compare against. Maybe I should buy a 2nd Empeg!
