Actually, I have a question about his XML pages. The top-level stream icon doesn't seem to work. the link is http://111.11.111.11/?fid=1&ext=.m3u

I always get a 404 attempting to hit this link. I've tried to guess at several different iterations to fix it, but nothing seems to work. Anyone know how to get this working?

Thanks,
Bri

- His files must be installed in the proper directory structure starting at the root with all the proper subdirectories as he supplied them.

- The files must be tagged with the proper read permissions for all groups.

- You must be running a recent version of Hijack.

- You must be running Internet Explorer.

- You must have the XML parser for Internet Explorer installed (comes with IE6 but not IE5.5).

Also I don't think the URL is formatted right. Instead, just navigate to:

http://your_empeg_addres/

And it should be all link-driven from there.

I did start at http://111.11.111.11/ and used the links from there. The URL I posted was a link I clicked on that didn't work. I think I have most everything set up right. I can stream any playlist just fine. It's just the stream link off the homepage that fails (the one that I assume means to stream the entire contents of the player).

Thanks a lot for your assistance!

The fid should be 101 not 1 as far as I know.

I think he's going to be releasing an updated version of the XML that takes advantage of Beta13 as well as Hijack 287 soon.

Ah, OK, Tom just told me what the problem is.

You were trying to click the "STREAM" link that was right there on the very first home page?

That is supposed to stream whatever is in the NOW PLAYING section.

But the NOW PLAYING section doesn't work unless you have the NOTIFY=1 line in your config.ini.

So that's why it doesn't work.

I added the notify=1, which did fix the top-level stream link as you noted. However, it doesn't do what I expected it to. Tony, you were also correct that fid=101 worked in order to stream the entire contents of the player. I didn't see any links to do this. I will certainly add one to my own default.xsl, but if other people think it's useful, it would be really cool for charcoalgray99 to add it to v1.3 of the web pages =).

Thanks for all the awesome support on this thread!

The stream-the-entire-player link appears if you click on PLAYLISTS and hit the stream link at the top of the column.

You can stream the entire contents of the player in the current version by clicking on the "Playlists" link and then clicking "Stream" on the top of the first column.

Note: this does take an long time to build on the player before it gets sent back to the browser.
