Empeg embroidered patch?

Hey, I just got a handy little bag for my empeg, and am now going to make it more empegalicious by branding it. My mom has some crazy ass sewing machine that takes images (on a special card, in a proprietary format) and cranks them out into flawless embroidered images. Now, I'm doing this for myself either way, but I was wondering if any of you crackers out there would want something like that.
Also, what's a reasonable price (I have to figure out how much hardware/software costs) and maybe Rob can tell me all about copyright and royalty issues.
Just a thought, if I get some feedback I'll see if it's feasible, get the party started and write an email stripped of the whimsical vernacular for all the conservatives in the family.

Jive is alive and well in Empeg Land....
Any ideas on your design or are you offering to make any design?

I was just thinking of a simple empeg logo (like at the top of this screen) and maybe some gratuitous Tux action. Something simple.
I'm not really looking to get into the embroidered patch business, but if this turns out to be simple and enjoyable enough I may look into doing custom stuff for people on this website.

Odd, but for purposes of my planned visit to the great white north (Doug's backyard) in 2004, I could get excited about having an embrioded patch patterned on the original Empeg stickers.....
Let us know!

Tell me more about this "original Empeg sticker..." I don't have this item, it may prove to be very useful. Can anyone scan me a high quality image of it?

Anyone wanting a larger image to start with, it's here.

on a side note, were there any empeg t-shirts ever made? Maybe for a user meet or something.

Yep, for the two first european meets empeg the company provided T-shirts.
The first one (before I had discovered the empeg, sob...) had a car with Tux on the back and the text "Penguins love ICE" (if I remember Rob Schofields correctly), don't recall the front - probably logo... The second one had the empeg logo at the front (breast pocket position) and the logo above a wavy EU flag with the text "second european owners meet, 27 May 2001 Amersfoort, NL" below. Also a RioCar logo low at the back.
This years T's were made by Thomas (speedy67) with the empeg logo at front breast pocket position. At the rear a light blue block with a large "2002" (with the 0's as a circle of stars - EU flag style) in yellow and with "european empeg owners meet" in white. Below the block is "Amersfoort, NL 15th June 2002" in same light blue.
I'll see if I can get snaps of the last two and post tomorrow.
Edit: Come to think of it, they should be spottable in the pictures from the meets...

I wish someone had been able to make some t-shirts for the Cincinnati meet, would have been nice.

We also made shirts for the Woodside 2001 meet, featuring the Golden Gate Bridge (well, it was only an hour away!)

Yep, the back looked a little something like this. It looks a little skewed because my shirt was wrinkled.

I have no idea of what this sewing machine's capabilities are, so I'm not going to make any statement(s) about which image will be used. However, thanks for all of the images -- it'll make my project that much easier.
