I have an HP SureStore DAT8 tape backup drive. It's external and hooked up to my SCSI card.

Now the question. How do I start backing up my files on this thing? What kind of software or drivers do I need for this thing?? I downloaded some software a wihle ago, ut it was really confusing and didn't seem to have anything to do with file backups. Other than that, it seemed like Win2K programs were rare for this old a drive.

Any help?

Microsoft Backup built into Win2000 should be good enough for simply backing up files.

Ah, good enough for me. But how do I get it to use my tape drive. Should Windows automatically be recognizing it as a new drive or what?

Nevermind, a simple reboot will do wonders

Now to see how well this thing performs. It's pretty darn old. At least Windows had drivers for it already.
