i am having lots of problems with version 2-13 when using XP that i thought i would try to reinstall the software that is on the disc that came with the unit...Version 1.03

when i try to do this i get the following error

"Setup is unable to decompress and copy all of the program files needed to procede with the installation. Contact your software vendor. Error 112"

Anybody know what this could be caused by???

Ed

Something very strange is happening. The download for 2.0 beta 13 is a ZIP file, so if you are able to unzip it successfully, you should be able to install it without any trouble. The fact that you're getting an error indicates something else is wrong. Something at the system level.

By any chance, are you logged into XP with a user-level lower than "administrator"? That might produce an error at installation time.

Well then just use 2.0 beta 13.

Otherwise the only thing I can think of is CD-ROM trouble, like read errors or something.

I thought you just said you did not have trouble downloading it and running it.

I also don't think you answered my administrator question.

Dunno, something else screwy is going on with that PC. Perhaps a virus or something? I'm stumped.
