I was wondering if anyone has considered/tried porting dopewars to the empeg. I know a linux version is available and I imagine it'd be pretty easy to do. I was thinking about porting it but I'd hate to start it if someone else has already.

I don't think it's ever been mentioned here before, so I suppose you'd be the first if you did it.

that would be really cool, I wasted so much time playing that game on my palm pilot, having it on the empeg would give another way to kill time waitng for fast food.

A bit off topic, but I just finally hit my 2+ year goal with Dopewars and I'm retiring. The goal was to exceed $100M. I got $126,354,621 running Matthew Lee's DopeWars version 2.3 on my Palm V.

I can't imagine beating that score. My previous high was $75M and change. I have a system that gets me to $20M+ easily and regularly, and had believed that $100M was possible for a long time, but it took quite some time to get there.

You should be upgraded to pooh-bah for this IMO

Considering that dopewars has been ported to everything, this would be in tune with the universe. It's bad enough sitting in an all day meeting playing this on my Ipaq, but I can see someone getting pulled over by the cops and the cop seeing drug names and prices being displayed on their empeg......I would love to see that conversation....

haha

*cop looks at the screen*
"100 kilos of Cocane?"

Watch him pull you out of the car, search for probable cause, find nothing, then all of the drug teams are watching you like hawks for the next 5 years, phones tapped, and life ruined.

Another first for the empeg :P
