I am searching for an additional sled for my car player. I bought a new car and now i would need a second sled for it...

This gets mentioned frequently... No one is currently building complete sleds. There is talk of a group buy for the actually metal sled and there has already been a group buy for the wiring for the sleds(which it's too late to get in on, but there will probably be another). I was thinking about this for myself and came to the following conclusion.

Empeg costs will only increase.
Accessories will only become less available.
My love of this machine can only grow.
Therefore I should just buy a spare and use its sled.

If you search the forum there are records of people paying 100 dollars for a sled, when they could buy a ten gig empeg, use the hard drive to upgrade their original, get an extra sled, get an extra remote, and have an extra handle and display (just in case).
