Ok, excellent. The tag writing works - all data areas except the genre are written properly.

Genre's not written? @#(*$&@#(*$&@*($
I'll take a look at that... Do you have a non-standard Genre value set by any chance?

Oh yeah Oops.
1) fixed the lockup (I think) with wendy flag columns updating during a sync
2) fixed id3 tag rewriting (thanks to Daniel + his cohort)
3) for the endeavorous few, ogg tag parsing is in (using the jcraft ogg parser)

First time I've used the download feature...Needed option(at least for me that is): When writing the file name, I'd like to be able to convert spaces to underscores, and ignore other non-alphanumeric characters. That way I don't have to re-rename(I deleted the MP3s off the computer, thinking I had them already on the server. DOH!) the files when I put them onto the server.

My first thought was yeah, we've all made mistakes like that.... oops.
Then I noticed who wrote that: BAKup and I had to laugh

I was wondering if anyone would see the irony in that.

i don't really know if its me or not.. but i've noticed that when i import folders that already exist on the empeg, even though jemplode catches the dupes, it re-ups them. the wierd thing is, it seems as if it ups them then it disappears. toggling de-dupe doesn't help. can anyone else reproduce this?

Currently your website is down? at least for me. Cannot find server or DNS Error. It will probably come back up shortly. But in the mean time, does anyone have a download link for v44?

Yeah -- I'm looking into this one ... It's detecting the dupe, but I think it's not cleaning up the reference to the local file properly.

Unfortunately, now that I moved, I don't have DSL, so I don't have another URL ... perhaps someone else does? Not sure what's up with jempeg.org. It will likely come back up in a bit.

Try grabbing the new Mac OS installer off of jempeg.sourceforge.net (link to the installers is on the top left). See if you have better success with that. I don't test on OS 9 since I don't think there are too many people who haven't switched to OS X, so I sort of wait for problem reports to come in (i.e. you're kind of a ginuea pig).

Does JEmplode support WMA 9 files?
I uploaded a couple of WMA9 files with Jemplode and I noticed it did not grab the title data from the file like it usually does and after uploading the player said 'unknown format' when trying to play those files. I tried to resync and JEmplode said no duration and unknown format (I did not resync). This is using v36 and v45 on NT4 SP6.
At home I used empeg 2b13 and it said there was a problem with the files and fixed them - still no duration, but the unit did now play the files. Seek Tool was blank though.
Looking at the new/old files the new one is WMA9, 32kbps, 22kHz, Stereo 1 pass CBR while at least some of the old files are WMA V8, 22kpbs, 44kHz, stereo.
I deleted the files and reuploaded them with empeg and all is well. Durations, data, track data read in, etc.
