Has anybody got one of these? I've just bought one and the quality is much better than the plain WinTV USB as it's got a MPEG2 encoder chip inside it.
The problem is that it's quite noisy when turned on because of the fan inside. The only way to turn it off it is to unplug it from the mains. I've taken the top cover off to reduce the noise a little but it's still quite noticeable.
Anybody know if I could just yank the tiny heatsink and fan off and put a much larger heatsink but without a fan on it? I've tried disconnecting the fan alone but it gets quite warm after a few minutes so I plugged it back in.
