I don't have the problem with any Mk.. I HAD the problem with my factory headunit. (I've connected an amp so the sound goes out from the headunit into the amp and then to the speakers. =preparation for the Mk2)
But I've already solved this - Getting my Mk2 yesterday and installing it into the car I figured out what the problem was - it was a partially broken cable on the RCA-jack feeding the amplifier. That was causing the problem.
Now - with the Mk2 (instead of a really cheap tapedeck) the sound is great!!! (I already replaced the factory speakers (they were made with a plastic-chassis!!!) - so Tony - please don't slam the door again

Thanks for all help on that (I also did the insulation-tape-thing to make for sure nothing bad can happen to the sound)
