ok...everytime i try to sync with XP all runs fine until the player tries to restart itself (Restarting Player). Then I have to get out of emplode and start it up again, but suprisingly enough all of the changes that I made to the unit have all gone through ok. So my question is what is the purpose of the unit going through the entire restart process if the uploads have all gone through ok?

Are you using USB under Windows XP?

You're probably not using software version 2.00Beta13. This was a bug in version 2beta7 and 11. It is fixed now in 2beta13.

hmmm...I have a similar problem only when using usb but have to actually unplug the usb and then turn around and plug it back in to get emplode to reconnect to the player.

Using XP and beta 13 on the player...can't answer your question though.

Yeah, I know it's a bug but wanted to note how it apparently might do different things on different machines.

it is very very rare that i do a complete sync

Last night I uploaded about 850MB, sync'd and then created numerous playlists associated with the previous uploads.

Emplode was buried behind something-or-other during the playlist sync and I only noticed the MS "Sorry but the program you were running messed up"[sic] when my PC was shutting down for the evening. Probably a restart problem (guess) since everything appeared fine in the car this morning. Wouldn't have even mentioned it (sorry!) if I hadn't spotted this thread!
