I just read today's announcement.

I have to say that at the top of the message, I went "Gulp!" but by the bottom I was very impressed.

David, Happy New Year. I think many people can't say enough good about the support you have provided.

Rob V., I have just been amazed at your collective ability to keep awesome support organized for a rare, EOL product. And you have managed *another* feat. Is this one of the bennies of EU-hood, employment-wise? Commute to Cambridge?

Rob, congratulations on the new gig!

(Ummm, David, before you scoot, you mentioned something about some excess stainless metalwork... :-)

Rob will be working from his base in the Netherlands. The commute from Amersfoort to Cambridge could get a little tiresome after a while

Thanks to everyone for the nice words - working at empeg has been one of the best jobs I've had and the community that has built up around the products and company has made it even better.

I'll still be around on the BBS and will be in the background for a few weeks while Rob settles into the new job.

I'm sad to see you go since in my dealings with you, I have to say, has been the BEST customer service experience I've ever had, but, on the other hand, I am happy for you starting a venture for yourself.
I'm sure with your dedication and expertise, it will be a raging success.

Good Luck and Best Wishes David!

I have had the pleasure to deal with David on several issues from hard drive cables to sleds without the lip, all handled quickly and professionally.
Good luck in your new venture, thanks for all of your help.

David:

Sorry to hear you are leaving, but I hope you will drop by every once in a while. Thanks for all your help and always prompt and friendly support! What web design business are you going into? Do you have a site up yet?

Rob S.

I'm glad that you have a job now, even if its part time. Its great to hear you now have a job doing something that (I think) you will enjoy.

Sean

Edit: Just found the answer in the next thread down - sorry

Ah, but once we'd taken him to the Wrestlers, you could tell he was considering it...

In Italy?

/me thinking I need a BBS where people who use not-very-informative subject lines can have their threads blasted or merged by dictatorial admins.....and, man, I sent an e-mail the other night to 30 people with a *blank* subject line. I *hate* that. I should be hurt for that.

Ahhaha. No, unfortunately my old mini was a LHD model. (ANd you know.. Hollywood is remaking that movie.. due out this spring. I'm hesitant to watch it.. I hope they still use Mini's in it..)

Woah. Be glad you don't work at my company. You could get written up (or put on the Spam Blocking list) for that..

Me, continuing the completely pointless subject-line thread.
