I've discovered something that is kind of a pain. I'm not sure if the behavior is a bug, or if it has to be this way because of the way the player keeps track of songs/lists.

If I copy a playlist into another playlist (not by selecting the files in the playlist, but by selecting the playlist itself) and then move or delete files from within the copy, the original get changed also.

Anyone else notice this, or have any input?

If I understand you correctly then this is the expected behaviour. Copying within emplode is really just introducing extra references rather than copying the contents. This is necessary to avoid duplicates taking up disk space.

It would be possible for emplode to copy rather than link but I'm not sure how we could differentiate this enough in the UI to avoid confusion.

Mike,

I think he's saying that if he copies a playlist, which produces a bunch of linked tracks, when he then deletes one of the linked tracks the original track is also deleted. This isn't expected behaviour is it? Or, are you saying that the playlists themselves are links to the original playlists? I thought only the tracks were linked.

Shows what I know, huh?

Rob
