This is what my empeg said when I put it in my truck.no hard drive found contact suport.does this mean my hard drive took a dump or could it be a cabel or somthing i could fix my self,Its a 20 gig.

Basically, it could be one of a few things. Some are harmless, some require repair. This will help diagnose which you have. It could be anything from a loose cable or jumper, to a bad cable, to dry solder connections.

Just went and put it back in my truck and now its working agian.hopfully it wont happen agian.

Very cool. You might still want to look for the loose cable. It is very common, especially if it is bumped around a lot. Keep a watch on it - if it starts happening more frequently, or you start getting other disk related symptoms, you might still need to look deeper.

Happened to me just the other day - but I had a customised boot logo so the contact support message only displayed very briefly. The music seemed to slow down, sound like a scratched CD then stop; the empeg wouldn't boot again! I gave the HD cable a push, and it works perfect.

Im getting a new cable form support.I buy so much stuff all my friends call me mr gaget.lol I have never got such excellent and fast service from any product before.
