Not sure whether to view this as a bug or a feature but with Hijack 320 set to restore DC visuals and listening to tuner, after shut down and restart, the visuals are set to the player visuals instead of Radio information. Like I said, may be by design but the Radio information is more meaningful to me when listening to radio.

By definition, "Info:Radio" is a non-visual screen.

By design, the "Restore DC/Car visuals" switches to a Visual screen at power up.

If you don't want the player switching to a visual screen, then disable the feature that switches it to a visual screen.

I see it is a feature (see above) but now wondering if Hijack could remember the last state Visual or Info with a couple of flags and restore to Visual or Info as per those flags? The choice on the Hijack menu might be Enable/Disable/Last.

With infinite flexibility comes infinite requests.

That's how it used to work sort of.. but when it got "fixed" it lost that functionality. I may add it back someday, as I'd kinda like it there too.

Cheers

I think what he's asking for is for the restore-visuals to be remembered seperately between Tuner and MP3 modes. I don't recall Hijack ever doing that before?

(I don't see an advantage to having a third "Last" option there, since it always works as "last" unless it's a visual...)

So I am not losing my mind. I thought it changed behavior X Hijacks ago.

remembered seperately between Tuner and MP3 modes

That would be better than the Last suggestion. Thinking about it, I think I could possibly implement it via the IR translate. I'll try later today.

No, I believe it's more the case of doing the "Restore Visuals" function ONLY when visuals were actually on the screen at last power-off..

No need for separate mp3/Tuner on this, since it's already kept separate in the savearea. Hijack just needs to make use of the info (again).

Cheers

Oh, I see what you're saying.

Okay, well, as long as the current behavior is still an option, that's cool. (I kind of depend on Hijack sending that long-down-press every time now... Sometimes I'll switch to track info but I still want it to boot to visuals in the car every time.)
