I've thought about signing up for free subscriptions to magazines in the past, but for some reason they often asked for a CC#, which is where I stopped the application.
This one only asks for shipping address and e-mail. They claim they don't sell your info and that the mags are free because of advertising costs. I don't know if that is the case or not, but I'm willing to try it, even if it means 10 more junk e-mails filtered every day.
Free Stuff!
(This offer can only be mailed to U.S. addresses.)
Makes sense that they have a country drop down menu.

SWEET. My paid Stuff subscription ran out last month and I wasn't going to renew, since I already get Maxim, and they're basically the same mag. But if it's free... Who am I to say no?
I found a similar offer on FHM magazine about a year ago, and indeed, I got a full year's subscription, with no catch. I didn't notice an increase in my junk mail, but then again, I was getting quite a bit of it anyway.
Thanks for posting.

Yup, perfect timing. My Stuff subscription runs out in two months.
Thanks Brian!

So are you guys actually interested in the gadget portion of Stuff? If not (other than it's free), why are you kidding yourselves? Go all out. (NSFW)

Sorry, Tony, you're married with children. Your days of subscribing to magazines with hot girls on the cover are over. Let us single guys have some fun!

I didn't mean it that way, I was just joking that it might as well be a porn mag (since its purpose seems to be the softcore aspect).

"Not that there's anything wrong with that..."
Yeah, Maxim/Stuff/FHM are basically the paper version of The Man Show. Lots of guy humor, guy gadgets, guy stories, and, well, pictures of scantily-clad babes. Hard to get the "Girls Jumping on Trampolines" effect with still photos, though.

Heh. I've always figured those mags (Stuff, Maxim, etc) were for guys too embarrassed to buy real porn.

why would you have to give your real email address?
I never do for stuff like that

I have a special email account set up for this precise purpose. If I NEED to check it for something like download instructions/password, I can. But normally it just sits there collecting spam until I empty it every couple of months.

I used to have a couple Hotmail accounts for exactly that. I waited too long to check on them, though, and the accounts were deleted. Too bad, too. I'd had that account since about 1995, back when Hotmail was uncorrupted, never spammed, and most importantly not owned by MS.

Very cool, I'll think of that next time I register somewhere sketchy.
