Hi there. I have upgraded to the 2.0 final software for the player but have stuck with HiJack v301. Since the upgrade there seems to be a boo boo somewhere. When I turn the knob counter-clockwise it studders the audio playback instead of cycling thru the visuals in reverse order. It's sorta like the player thinks it's in "seek tool" mode or something? There is no problem the the knob clockwise rotation though. Any ideas folks???

You're probably going to get the most help from Mark if you upgrade to the latest version of Hijack and work from there.

Programmers usually hate trying to support old versions of code.

The problem is most likely related to the fact that they changed the "Visual-" code in 2.0.

Fair enuff I'm now using v332 and upon rebooting the player an ir_translate error was displayed. I removed the "-" from "visual-" and now there is no more error.

Only thing is I see no documentation in the FAQ as to what the new code for "visual-" is in v2.0?

I'm not sure if it even needs a new code or not at all. I think the new IR code was added in 2.0 and then Mark updated his translation table so it all just worked. I could be wrong.

It's also built-in to his popup code, so you might not even need an IR translation to make it work, just put it in his popup menu.

VisualSeek is cool but since my unit is a "slave" unit in my HU setup the knob is a visual seeker instead of a volume knob.

Hmm...this'll probably work better with VisualSeek mapped to a long press of the visual button on the remote. Could one configure the next/previous track buttons on the remote to switch the visuals at that point?

I'm having an issue with the new software, when I'm using the tuner.... I can hit left and right to move between presets but holding them down has no effect (scan).... I can use the remote for some reason to move the channels up one number at a time... but no scan from remote either... is this a known issues? is something on my empeg set incorrectly?

It is a known issue, it's been reported elsewhere.

It's no big deal, was just a bit of a pain setting all my stations up.
