It has been long time since I last entered this Forum, and I hadn't noticed that there was wrong information about a utility I have uploaded in riocar.org.
Last Octomber I created a font editor that worked for the Infoscroller font too. It had major bugs, and the font it produced didn't work at all in the player. I corrected all the bugs a week later, and I notified the guys at RioCar.org. But it seems that they didn't got it, and they are still releasing the wrong -non working- version. So any of you that may have downloaded that version, can get the new one from
http://users.otenet.gr/~cypher/RioPlayerFontEditor2.zip

Sorry for interfering in this thread, but I had to post that

I was going to fix it for you, but when I go to the "Downloads" section of RioCar.org and grab the font editor from there, it already correctly links to and downloads this version:

http://users.otenet.gr/~cypher/RioPlayerFontEditor2.zip

...which is the same one you just linked. Did Tom fix it already or something?

No Tony, it is not. When I click it, it downloads 123187-RioPlayerFontEditor.zip from empeg.comms.net, which has a version compiled at 4/11/02. The correct version is compiled at 8/11/02. The page where I download it from is
http://www.riocar.org/download.php?op=viewdownload&cid=2&min=10&orderby=titleA&show=10

So I would be gratefull if you did.

Ah, I see. There were two entries for "Rio Font Editor" that got split across two pages.

The correct one, the first one I saw and tested, was on page one. You linked me to page two, which had the incorrect one. I deleted the incorrect one, so now there's only the correct one on page one. All taken care of now.

Thank you Tony, I hadn't noticed that the first one was linking to the new version. I thought that it was a link towards the first version of the application, which didn't support editing of the infoscroller font (fontfile.raw), and that the new version (with the additional information in the description) would be in the second page. Anyway, it's enough this way.
