I have a lot of vibration in my car it causes some small (but annoying ) amount of noise. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences and what their solutions were. I have been thinking about using some sort of material to tape inside of the sled to minimize the gap between the empeg and sled, and thus minimize vibration.

Are you sure it's the empeg and the sled vibrating against each other?

How solidly is the sled mounted to the frame of the car? Maybe it's the sled rattling against the frame of the car?

Or perhaps it's a rattling handle instead?

If it's really the case and the sled, the sled has bumps which are supposed to slide against the player casing. Thse bumps are on tabs. I'm sure you can bend these tabs so that they're tighter.

The sled could be mounted more securely in the car. There may be some of the sled itself rattling against the car. The reason I think its the empeg vibrating in the sled is because if something (ie paper) is stuck between the sled and empeg, most of the noise goes away. Bending the bumps sounds like it may work though.

One of my sleds didn't have the bumps.
