Does anyone have Mozilla installed for multiple users to use on a Unix system where XPI installs work correctly? I don't know if there's something wrong with my system or of it doesn't work at all or if it's something specific to the binary packages I'm using, and I'm not really willing to spend hours right now downloading and compiling Mozilla (and fighting with Gnome stuff -- also a binary package) just to test whether it's my installation or not.

As it is right now, I have to change permissions on the chrome directory and its installled-chrome.txt file so that anyone who wants to use Mozilla can write to them. Hardly tidy. It seems like it should write to ~/.mozilla if writing to the install directory doesn't work, but it doesn't seem to do that.

Any information would help.
