I'm in the process of installing my empeg in my miata. Where I'm doing this right now, I have not really the amount of time nor the connection to make a thorough search on the subject, so sorry for such a trivial question. The standard question: I have RCA, speaker and power wires; which of those can I route together? I know not to have power and RCA together, but how about the speaker wires? Should they be routed with the power or with the RCA wires?

If it were me, I'd route the power wires in one place, and the speaker and RCA wires in another place. Perhaps someone else will come in with a contradictory opinion, but that's what I'd do.

I ran the power and remote wire down the right side of the car (the battery was on the right) and the speaker and RCA cables on the left.

That's good practice, but, of necessity, I ran all three together, through the engine bay in the MG, and it doesn't cause any problems.

I have the power cables going thru the left, speakers thru the middle and chinch on the right; and everything's fine. Now I have a whining alternator, but has nothing to do with the cables.
