I've had my rio for about a year and a half now and now I've forgotten how to do a few things. Here's the deal. I got a new computer and I want to install emplode onto it. The version on my player is beta11 and now I can only find beta13 on the download site. I don't mind upgrading the player but my new laptop only has a female serial port and won't work with the cable. It does have usb and ethernet. What can I do. Please be as specific as possible. Thanks in advace.

Assuming you don't already have hijack installed, you'll need to either find a computer you can use for a few minutes that has a serial port, or you can buy a USB serial dongle. The dongle shouldn't set you back more than $30, so it's probably a good investment for the future.
