I'm upgrading a freind's Empeg player (MII) and have some problems with Emplode crashing at the "CheckPlayerDatabase" point in the error log.

I just install a 2nd 32 gig travelstar along with the orginal 20gig travelstar drive and ran the upgrade to format the drive and put on the 2.0 developer image (ver 2.0) so far so good. After I rebooted the unit and ran emplde for the fist time the program goes thru it normal routine and when it get's to rebuilding the database it crashes.

I enclosed a snippet of the log file for the experts to help me.

Log starts Here:

Did you follow the instructions and format the drive while it was plugged in as the primary drive? Did you apply the 2.0 upgrade onto the new drive when it was still the primary drive?

After that, did you make sure to upgrade the old drive to contain the same version (2.0 final) after you swapped it back onto the primary controller?

If all of the above conditions have been met, please see if this fixes the problem.

Greetings!

Another thing to check for. You said you ran the builder. Can you post a copy of the boot log, and check for this?

Wow, Paul has got a really good point!

Try running the builder again on the drive(s).
