Hi.

I have a Pcats tuner and sony RMX4S remote.

The remote does work ok, but the empeg does not react to the button presses in a sutible time period , some times taking 20secs to do a command.

Any way to speed this up?

Thanks

C.

Works instantaneously, or near enough.

MOST of the time, that is.

There have been reports in the past of the buttons and the stalk suffering longish delays within the first minute after powerup/resume in some situations. Dunno what the resolution was.

Cheers

Thanks.

Works fine most of the time on the tuner , but on the player is normaly slow , some times it will work o and then if i skip say 10 songs it starts to slow down.

I am thinking i might just sell the tuner as the stalk control was the reason i got , if i had know it was as flakey as it is i would not have got it.

Do you have any heavy userland apps running in the background (e.g. GPSApp or Roadmapgpsapp)? These probably take up buffer space so after skipping 10 songs the empeg won't respond to commands until it refills it's buffers.

Only have empacman running as a init script.

I do have an additional buffer section in my ini file.

Try removing those temporarily and see if it solves your tuner stalk delay problem.

Back on this again.

Tried both my players with just V2 on them and both have slow down periods when responding to button presses.

So is Tod's. Read carefully, we're reporting the exact same problem.

What is a soundgate then?

Also found this thread
http://empeg.comms.net/php/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=empeg_general&Number=158392&page=&view=&sb=&o=&vc=1

Other things...

I also get the same style of slow response from the http interface on just the player so the whole stalk thing might be a bit of a fish.

I also get the same thing from your face program.

Sort of not related but do you have a port of your face progam for pocket PC ?

Thanks

Ah, that's very telling. It means something fishy is going on with your player. You're right, it's got nothing to do with the stalk.

Please post your config.ini and a boot log.

No, I don't have a pocketPC version. Do pocketPCs have ethernet?

Will do.

Pocket Pc will take ethernet and 802.11* wireless cards.

If it was possible that would make the "Empeg hidden under seat" issue not a problem.

Will post the configs later.
