I know I bought one. I remember receiving the original tuner when they first became available. I remember installing it and testing it.

Unfortunately I have not used it much, and not in a long time.. my empeg keeps me happy.

However, I did think about it and pressed the menu to switch over to the Tuner. Hockey season is approaching and I dont want to miss any games if I am stuck in my car.. but alas there was no Tuner selection for me to select. Likewise.. nothing happens when I try my remote control either.

Where the hell did it go?

I dont get it. I just went out to the car and slid the player back in the sled.. turned it on and now the tuner is available. Weird.

Never mind..

Check that you have the Fader option available under the Sound menu when the tuner is missing. You may have a dodgy AC power connector (causing the empeg to believe it's powered by the AC adapter, ie outside the dock) - see these FAQs. I think that'd cause the tuner to go missing - it will remove the Fader option.

I use my second tuner on AC power mode all the time. So no, it does not depend upon DC mode in order for the tuner to work.

Instead, I'd be concerned about a wiring problem. Perhaps something like this.
