Is that that same UI that the Creative ones use? It seems like a total ripoff of the iPod's interface.

Yeah. I think it's a very similar UI if not the same. It does look very iPodish and even the reviews say it works nearly identically.
I think the actual Creative ones look nicer than the Dell DJ. Not too keen on the styling.

The worst thing about the Dell DJ is also the best thing about the Karma. I have never understood Dell's success with a strategy of "always imitate, never innovate" and "ape the market leader, but undercut their margins." Yet it still seems to be working: just look at the initial sales success of their big, dumb Pocket PCs.

15 hours of battery life is very nice, but alas, it only goes up to 20 gigs. Not enough, the Empeg has spoiled me.

But the good news is these new smaller breed of mp3 players are starting to come out of the woodwork and are going to start commoditizing, which is bad for everyone making them, but good for us.
